We had James do our new home inspection, and at first we thought since it is a new home an inspection would be unnecessary.But James professionalism and knowledge showed that it's not the case, even new homes can have small defects that only a professional can detect. We are so glad we had Him, otherwise we would not know about every small detail. After His inspection a complete report was shown and given to us in order for those problems be fixed before possession. Definitely appreciated the flexibility provided in accommodating our very tight window for an inspection to occur. Also, we were out of town when the inspection actually was completed and James arranged to conference call us in to review his report in detail. I never met James as I live some distance away, but he came highly recommended by my realtor. His emailed report ran to 64 pages with all kinds of issues identified and photographed. All were relatively minor maintenance issues but there were a few major ones.Net result is he saved me about 10 times his cost and gave me a better idea of what I was buying and what questions to ask..If you buy a house, get him to inspect it. You can't go wrong.

James Robinson is meticulous in his ‘structural sleuthing’ … to have him translate the condition of what may well be your future home is a wise investment that will ensure your decision is made with eyes wide-open. His written report is clear and detailed yet succinct. His expertise as a qualified electrician is an attribute that provides more thorough information that, I believe, others performing the same service may not be able to deliver, and, for me, electrical shortcomings are serious red flags to be attended to urgently. We live in Ontario and needed someone on the island to do an inspection on a house on our behalf. I had a great all around experience with A Buyer's Choice. Website was straightforward and easy to use. It was quick and easy to book an appointment.My property is a new build with warranty so I questioned whether or not to get an inspection - it was worth every penny. James was incredibly thorough with great attention to detail. All concerns/recommendations/deficiencies were well documented with photo and even video evidence as needed. Areas of concern were highlighted and explanation provided.Following the inspection, James provided a concise explanation of noted deficiencies, explained things in general terms for easy understanding and provided a tour to help me understand what/where/why.
