Laine did our inspection for the home that we are in the process of purchasing. We are first time home buyers so this is something new to us but Laine answered all of our questions thoroughly and did an amazing job inspecting the home. Edit: the inspector we had was fired from A Buyer's choice. I spoke with Laine and things were cleared up.Previous review: Erich missed our Duradek being trashed on a 450 sqft deck (close to $10k to have replaced), a large part of the siding being below grade and fully rotted all the way through the 2x4's, and soffits leaking in several locations (visible water damage to the wooden soffits in multiple locations). Besides the most basic things: furnace age, hot water tank age, and that the appliances work, this inspection seemed like it was just checking off a list with no real "inspection".

He also explained major issues to us and assured us that he would be happy to address any issues even after we moved into our house. During his inspection, he was unable to inspect our roof due to heavy snowfall. We requested him to inspect it when the weather permits. He did so free of charge. We had a wonderful experience. In the stressful chaos of buying a home, Laine provided us with a very thorough investigation. He notified us that he required additional time so we didn't have to wait around. He lead us physically through the space showing us the issues. He explained problems and gave priority concerns. He clarified and explained things for the laymen. He not only provided us with photos and full descriptions of issues, but also suggested repairs. Laine was our inspector for an inspection done on a house we were trying to purchase. The way he goes into detail and takes time to do his job at such a high standard I have never seen an inspection report so thorough! After doing the report and sending it to us he stayed in contact with us letting us know we could chat at anytime to discuss anything regarding the report to get a better idea of any issues that arose during the inspection (which for the house we were trying to buy was ALOT due to the condition of the house and hidden issues) We would use Laine again in a heart beat and will definitely be recommending him to any and all of our friends and family in the area ever needing an inspection done.
