Is the Greek god healing and medicine; son of Apollo and Coronis (Vediovis in Roman Mythology)

His daughters are Hygieia the goddess of health, cleanliness, and sanitation, Iaso (the goddess of recuperation from illness), Aceso (the goddess of the healing process), Aglaea(the goddess of beauty, splendor, glory, magnificence, and adornment - not to be confused with one of the Charities who were the daughters of Zeus), and Panacea (the goddess of universal remedy)

He was eventually killed by a thunderbolt from Zeus for continuing to bring men back to life such as Hypolytos much to Hades's chagrin
