Brygean Islands is modern day off the Croatian gulf and is called The Kvarner Gulf

This is where Jason and Medeia lure her brother Absyrtos to his death. Ones of the islands is called Apsyrtides. [1] It seems implausible that the Argonauts were chased over such a distance but it is not everyday you lose the Golden Fleece.

After chopping up the body Aetees recovers it and buries at the place called Tomi at the mouth of the river Danube on the Black Sea. They later catch up with the Argonauts at Skherie.
