Downloading and using Virtual Clonedrive

After downloading the software it needs to be installed. It is important that you have full administration rights to the computer or the installation will fail when installing the drivers. After installing and rebooting the computer go to Windows Explorer are explore your computer. You will see Virtual Clonedrive as another drive on your computer just like a DVD Drive.

To mount and install a iso image, go to the Virtual Clonedrive drive and hit right mouse button and select mount. A dialog box will open and you can search for your iso image. Then select open and the iso image will install the executable.

Example of using Virtual Clonedrive to upgrade to Windows 7

• 1. Download and install Virtual Clonedrive as explained above
• 2. Download the iso image of Windows to your computer
• 3. Optionally use Windows Easy Transfer to transfer your current files to a new computer via cable of via the network or flash drive
• 4. Navigate to Virtual Clonedrive drive. Slect mount and search for the iso image.
• 5. Click on the iso image and install the executable.
